What Chitranshu believes in:

I am not doing any sort of service to environment,   am just repaying by small actions which every human   being is incumbent to but sad that only few turn up. Small actions of Green Brigade may not seem to make a great impact, but collectively they do make a difference. And we the members of Green Brigade are COMMITTED towards a change... a change for the betterment of prevailing precarious situation of the environment.

Leading an NGO namely PURWA  (Poor Urban and Rural Women’s Association), as the Founding Trustee and Managing Trustee. Key experiences have been (a) designing training workshops and impart training, especially in RCH (Reproductive and Child Health), gender, on SHG (Self-Help Group) formation and income generation activities (especially handicrafts); Advocacy with NGOs and national and international agencies on adolescent issues and adolescent problems (specially health and gender); Program management; Research on adolescent issues; Development of modules, materials for various activities e.g. on reproductive and child health, for adolescents of rural and urban areas.

I believe that each one of us has a role to play in development of the society by contributing in our own way ,how ever small it may seem. So, I do my bit with my work through PURWA and PURWA stand for

PURWA envisions a world where girls and women share all the opportunities and resources on an equitable basis and their lives are not shaped by the compulsions created by society.

Mission

PURWA’s mission is to work with resourceless and resource-poor girl children, adolescent girls and women for their advancement and to help them to help themselves out of the disadvantages and deprivations to a qualitative improvement of their lives.
